ISO 45001:2018 Outline
ISO 45001 is a occupational safety and health management system, and the existing OHSAS 18001:2007 standard was replaced by ISO 45001 in March 2018. It provides a framework for managing health and safety management responsibilities through an occupational health and safety management system compatible with ISO 9001 and 14001 management systems. This standard has been developed for international use and helps organizations control health and safety risks and improve performance.
An effective occupational health and safety management system reduces risk to employees and other stakeholders and supports legal compliance. As the existing OHSAS 18001 standard expires in March 2021, new companies must be certified to ISO 45001 from March 2020, and existing OHSAS 18001 certified companies must transfer to ISO 45001.

The importance of ISO 45001 training
An effective occupational health and safety management system reduces risk to employees and other stakeholders and supports legal compliance.
For the effective application of the standard ISO 45001, companies and industries need qualified professionals. The purpose of the ISO 45001 Auditor Certification process is to provide the certification body with the confidence that auditors and individuals certified through this program are eligible.
As part of the auditor process, assessment will be conducted against requirements that reflect the key competencies, knowledge and experience that define eligibility. The training program is based on the key standards for audit.
